Artavis Pierce featured in Oregon State 'Star Wars' poster

Taking pictures of recruits and editing them in Photoshop to showcase on social media as a recruiting pitch is nothing new today in social media, but the football recruiting department at Oregon State decided to kick it up a notch with this 'Star Wars' themed edit.

The photo features Auburndale's own Artavis Pierce, an Oregon State commit, and several other 2016 Beavers commits from around the country. The Oregon State football staff published this edit on Monday, the same day as the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer that was shown during the recent Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

While the movie is set to hit theaters Dec. 18, Beavers fans will have to wait until Feb 3, 2016 to see if the recruiting force of the Oregon State football staff really is strong enough to pull in all of those verbal commits on National Signing Day.
